St Paul's trail - this challenging historical pilgrimage route is a way - marked footpath which St Paul the Apostel walked on his first missionary journey in Asia Minor (Turkey) to the city Antioch Pisidia (Yalvac). The route snakes through the national park Yazili canyon and its dramatic gorges to the rocky limestone peaks of Taurus mountains in the highland. Exploring the kingsroad to the anchient ruins of the city Adada is a historical highlight of our trek. With experiencing the nomads (Yoruks) lifestyle and hospitality in Toto plato we'll pass with the goats and shepherds from village of Sipahiler the canyon by Gokguvet to endemic forest of Kasnak oaks in Gokdere. Listening of shepherd and anatolian caravan stories under the stars will lead us next day the optional climb of Davraz massiv peak 2635 m with spectacular top views. Last day the trek goes with ascent of Sivri Dag to Egirdir lake for a relax in turkish bath or sightseeing (mosque, bazaar) and island Nis.
Arrival to Antalya airport. Transfer to "Emre Camp" by the Karacaoren lake for overnight (about 1 h drive).
This day we start our tour along Karacaoren lake through endemic Oriental Sweetgum (Liquidambar orientalis) forest canyon to Kargi village. Swimming in canyon river. (walking distance 7 km)
Trekking through Yazili canyon national park, a paradise of wildlife with spectacular canyon top views to Sutculer town. Swimming in mountain river.(walking distance 12 km)
We take the kingsroad to ancient ruins of Adada, from there continue to high plato of Toto where nomads live with their livestocks and semi wild horses. (walking distance 10 km)
Drive up to the village of Kapıkaya and walk to the anchient roman city. (walking distance 13 km)
Trek over Davraz massive shoulder till sky lodge through endemic Kasnak oak forest.(walking distance - 17 km, the longest trek on tour!)
Sivri tepe view point to Egirdir Lake, later descent to Eğirdir city for sightseeing (historical mosque, caravan saray, bazaar and turkish bath, remains of roman castle on Nis island. (walking distance - 15 km). In evening bye - bye party in "Emre camp" hotel.
Departure. Transfer to Antalya airport.
